About Me

Andrew is an Associate Lecturer and Research Assistant in the College of Arts (University of Lincoln). His research involves gathering evidence as part of an upcoming REF impact case study of the digital arts project 1215.today – a university of Lincoln initiative funded by Arts Council England, and contributing to a peer-reviewed journal article on the relationship between subjectivity and media practice as a form of critical thinking. Andrew teaches media theory across four undergraduate degree programmes within the School of Film and Media. He also assists with the running of the School’s New Media Lincs project, working with students on small budget video productions in the East Midlands.

Andrew's research interests are in non-representational theory and practice, specifically how practiced-based research can help us understand the power of mass surveillance in the 21st century, and emerging forms of labour in digital cultures.
